Reading
All children will bring home a Little Wandle reading book. They will read this book in school 3 times before bringing the book home. Children will get a new book every Thursday. Please make sure you listen to your child read and sign their reading record.
Phonics
As a school, we follow the scheme Little Wandle and sessions take place daily. Below you will find a link with some information for parents and some useful resources. Children will be working on Phase 5 in Year 1. Those children who are finding it a bit tricky will receive extra phonics sessions. All children will complete the Phonics Screening Check in June.
Children in Year 2 will follow the Little Wandle Spelling Scheme which is called Bridge to Spelling.
P.E
Our PE lessons change every term. This term (Term 5) we have PE on Mondays.
Children wear their PE kit to school on a PE day. Children can wear a plain blue sweatshirt or their normal school jumper.
