French at St. Nicholas
At St. Nicholas we teach French as our Foreign Language, taught by a specialist HLTA. French is taught across the Year groups progressively from Year 3 to Year 6 and children receive one weekly lesson. We follow the Language Angels scheme which provides the opportunities for children to develop their skills in listening, speaking, reading, writing and phonological awareness.
Through this subject we also provide insights into other cultures and civilizations other than a pupil's own.
